The Artful Home of Rosanna Watts

A shared story of craft, kinship, and slow moments in motion.

Rosanna, founder of Courgette Events, lives and works by the belief that beauty belongs in the everyday.
In the soft spring light of the English countryside, Rosanna Watts carries her daughter across a gravel path—both mid-laughter. A handmade lace panel billows at the edge of the frame. Behind them, a table is set as if waiting for stories to unfold. It’s a photograph that speaks to the spirit of Rosanna’s world: playful, grounded, and deeply intentional.
A Canvas Named Home
Rosanna is a maker in the quietest, most enduring sense. While her hands are often full—raising young children and a full-time event planner —her creative spirit is ever-present, expressed not through traditional art forms, but through the living, breathing canvas of her home.
“Most of my creative time is spent tinkering around the house mending and curating spaces to feel magical, so when I’m here, I really want to be here,” she shares.
Her home is an evolving expression of care and imagination: a shelf freshly repainted, a vintage curtain trimmed with braid, walls lovingly imprinted with her children’s hands and footprints. It’s a place built for feeling, not just looking—where utility is softened by artistry, and imperfections are celebrated.
This instinct to create warmth through space is a legacy passed down from her Aunt Charchie, whose home lives vividly in Rosanna’s memory.
“Her house felt like a big cosy jumper,” she recalls, “colourful, comfortable, and well lived in.” Ever the innovator, Charchie transformed old into new with the simplest touches—braid, paint, a well-placed cushion—and infused everything she touched with soul.
For Rosanna, home isn’t a static place—it’s a practice. A daily layering of texture, story, and love.
“Nothing gives me greater pleasure than friends sinking into my home,” Rosanna muses. “And if I can build something with half as much magic as my aunt’s house, then I will be extremely fulfilled.”
Dressed for the Daylight
Rosie brought our signature Tranquility dress to life with effortless grace—a bespoke, deep navy hand-smocked piece—moves with her as she navigates the sunlit setup of an intimate outdoor gathering. Her daughter, wearing our mini Tranquility dress, matches not in fabric but in freedom. Both garments, handcrafted and intentionally made, echo the values Rosie brings to her work and home life: joy, functionality, story.
Captured by photographer Marta (@martamayphotos), these images are more than beautiful—it is a testament to the comfort and lightness slow fashion allows.
